Kreative's Virtual 5k for CASA Children’s Intervention Services

At Kreative, we truly love our community in Northern Virginia and are committed to helping in any way we can. This year, Kreative has decided to team up with CASA CIS to create a safe online experience for our community to participate in a virtual 5k! Kreative is hoping to raise $25,000 for CASA by the end of December. We can’t accomplish this without the help of our friends, family, and local community so please donate and get involved to help us reach our goal! The Cause CASA CIS (Court Appointed Special Advocates Children’s Intervention Services) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating on government and local grants, business, and community donations. CASA volunteers are authorized individuals who support foster children in juvenile court cases. Volunteer advocates speak up on their child’s behalf and help them through what is often a very confusing and scary time. The COVID-19 pandemic has offered a new set of challenges for neglected children who are no longer able to attend school safely. These children are now trapped at home with their abusers, unable to seek help from trusted adults and teachers who can recognize the signs of abuse. It is now more important than ever to aid CASA in their efforts to remove neglected and abused children from harm’s way and better their lives. Kreative’s Fundraising Event Our virtual fundraising event will continue until December 31st, 2020. Although this type of event is new for both Kreative and CASA, we are excited to see what all we can accomplish through peer-to-peer fundraising. Unlike typical in-person events, the potential to raise funds for children in need is limitless. So please, get involved and help Kreative reach our goal to raise $25,000 for CASA CIS! There are many ways you can show your support for the Kreative Virtual 5k for CASA. Whether you simply want to donate to the cause or would like to actively participate in the event. You, your friends, family, and co-workers can register for the 5k and have access to your own individual or team fundraising page. If you would like to create a team, you simply register to choose any of the three registration types (5k, 5k with t-shirt purchase, or just fundraise), create a team, and then personalize your page! From there you can create a fundraising goal to encourage friends, family, and social media followers to help you reach your goal to raise funds for CASA. Why Participate? It costs $1,500 to provide each abused and neglected child in our area with a highly trained volunteer advocate for one full year. If we make it to our $25,000 goal by December 31 of this year, we can provide approximately sixteen children with advocates in 2021. That’s sixteen stories that could be changed for the better. Every child in need living in Fauquier, Prince William, Rappahannock, and Warren Counties, and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park deserves a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
