Meet The Interns!

Kreative’s Summer Intern Class of 2021

Summer is just around the corner and intern season has finally begun! Kreative is so excited to host six talented interns this summer. Three of which we are welcoming to our team for the very first time – Lauren, Claire, and Gideon. Hannah, Adrian, and Katie are each returning to Kreative to continue doing fantastic work to support our marketing and growth efforts. So, without further ado let’s get to know our summer intern class of 2021! Hannah Palermo 

• School: Virginia Tech 2021 Graduate👩‍🎓
• Area of Study: Marketing with a minor in International Business
• Dream Job: Travel Critic ✈
• Fun Fact: She’s been to over 25 countries! 😮
• Kreative Superpower: Discipline & Versatility

Hannah is one of Kreative’s many Hokies who just recently graduated from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. She has been Kreative’s marketing and social media intern for over a year now. She began her career at Kreative last spring and has been a vital part of our team ever since. Our efforts to expand our digital presence would not have reached their current heights without her help this past year. We cannot wait to see what she accomplishes this summer! Adrian Talastas

• School: Virginia Tech 2021 Graduate👨‍🎓
• Area of Study: Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction
• Dream Job: Adrian is striving to become a UX designer and hopes to implement some UX practices into his design process at Kreative this summer!
• Fun Fact: He is a first-generation college student 👏
• Kreative Superpower: Creativity and Empathy 🎨

Adrian is Hokie graduate number two! He has been an important part of Kreative’s marketing and graphics team since October of 2019. Adrian is a very talented graphic designer and aspiring UX designer who is working on developing his skills at Kreative. He is a huge help to our marketing team, and we are so happy to have his support throughout the summer! Katie Chenoweth

• School: Student at James Madison University 📚
• Area of Study: Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science and a Minor in Pre-Med
• Dream Job: Prosthetics Engineer
• Fun Fact: Her favorite TV show is Criminal Minds 🕵️‍♀️
• Kreative Superpower: Detail oriented and avid learner

Not only is Katie one of our new JMU Dukes; she is also the last of the ‘returning’ interns who will be joining Kreative this summer. She started her position at Kreative early this year as our customer care intern, ensuring our kGrow team stays focused on outreach efforts. She has done an excellent job in her role so far and we have no doubt she will continue to do so during her time at Kreative! Lauren Kuhno

• School: Student at James Madison University 📚
• Area of Study: Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Journalism
• Dream Job: Writer for The New York Times Magazine
• Fun Fact: She was a dancer for 15 years 💃
• Kreative Superpower: Quick learner and can adapt easily

Lauren is another JMU Duke who has joined us this summer as Kreative’s graphic design and writing intern. So far, what we’ve learned about Lauren is she is not only talented but an extremely fast learner. Her willingness to learn and receive feedback has already made her stand out at Kreative within the short time she has been here. Keep it up Lauren! Claire Draper

• School: Student at Virginia Tech 📚
• Area of Study: Marketing with a minor in International Business
• Dream Job: Claire would like to have a marketing career where she is able to travel and work with people from around the world. 🌏
• Fun Fact: She enjoys playing softball and was even on her high school team! 🥎
• Kreative Superpower: Positive, collaborative, hardworking, and organized

Claire is one of the newest Hokies to join Kreative’s team! This summer, she will be supporting our growth efforts as Kreative’s marketing and business development intern. We are excited to leverage her marketing and SEO experience this summer to support the marketing team while teaching her the ins and outs of business development. Claire has expressed her excitement to wear different hats here at Kreative and we could not be more impressed with her enthusiasm! Gideon Nelson

• School: Student at Virginia Tech 📚
• Area of Study: Industrial Systems Engineering Undergrad with minors in Business and Naval Leadership
• Dream Job: Charity work in Trujillo, Peru, helping bring education to the inner city
• Fun Fact: Gideon was an adamant member of the musical theater community, attending workshops and award ceremonies for his performances. He was nominated top 10 actors from over 50 high schools participating. He was Linus in Charlie Brown, Sebastian in The Little Mermaid and Will Parker in Oklahoma, to name a few roles! 🎭
• Kreative Superpower: Networking

Gideon is not only our fourth and final Hokie to join our ranks this summer, but he is a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets! He will be joining our kQuality team to support operations as a Jr. Process Analyst. We are very excited for Gideon to bring his unique perspective as a Naval ROTC squad leader to our team. If his impressive resume wasn’t already a great sign that he will do we here at Kreative, his positive attitude and eagerness to join us this summer have absolutely convinced us. If you haven’t already noticed, we are thrilled to have each of our interns work with us this summer!
