How does CMMC affect a business's supply chain?

Whether you sell intangible services or physical products, your business has a supply chain specialized to fit your business’s needs. Your supply chain is a network of relationships and processes between your business and it’s suppliers that exist in order to create your finished product or service. These networks and processes include a variety of crucial activities, people, entities, information, and resources. All of these assets must be protected. In an effort to advance supply chain security, CMMC has set forth standards for DoD contractors and suppliers must comply with in order to participate in future DoD acquisitions. Based on the service or product delivery, CMMC rating levels may vary.  It is important to remain cognizant of how other parties in your supply chain handle their own security.
